“In West Sussex, you can take an ass and put a blue rosette on its backside and there’s a good chance it will get voted in!”
The words of UKIP West Sussex Organiser, John Wallace, when interviewed by the West Sussex County Times and the Mid Sussex Times.
John Wallace says UKIP candidates with their distinctive purple and yellow rosettes, will prove to be a common sight come this May’s county council elections.
UKIP aims to contest every seat in the county council elections in the South East in May.
This will follow on from UKIP’s recent success in the Eastleigh by-election, where UKIP beat the Conservatives to come a close second to the Lib Dems.
The Eastleigh by-election success for UKIP, follows second places recently for UKIP in the Rotherham and Middlesborough by-elections too.
It is now just a question of when, not if UKIP get their first MP.
This will simply reinforce the message that voters see no future with the failed old parties of the LibLabCon.
