UKIP candidate for the Ashenground, Haywards Heath by-election

Howard Burrell from Haywards Heath, is the UKIP candidate for the vacant Ashenground seat on the Haywards Heath Town Council. Howard a semi-retired local businessman and  former lifelong Conservative voter, said:

I joined UKIP after the electorate’s petition for Parliament to debate leaving the EU, was thrown out by a 3 line Tory whip in 2011. I checked online to see how Nicholas Soames, our MP had voted and was dumb struck to see he had voted to throw out the motion.

I then checked UKIPs manifesto and was surprised to find it was full of common sense, true Conservative values which I have held all my life. I then joined UKIP and took the decision not to visit the Conservative Social Club in Haywards Heath, and to not renew my membership when the time came for renewal.”
